If you’re dedicated, you can do very well at BJJ. Not everyone is that lucky though an sometimes the only BJJ gym near you has low level instruction. Perhaps the only BJJ gym in your area is very far away or very expensive. Maybe you just want more and more techniques and knowledge to feed your BJJ addiction. Regardless of your reason, many people end up searching online for BJJ Videos.

The trouble with randomly searching for BJJ videos online is that while there is an endless supply of videos online, with Youtube being the most common place to look, I found that there doesn’t really seem to be an organised structure to the videos online so I kept finding isolated techniques. Some were great and some were complete crap but I thought it’s high time someone creates a site where you can learn BJJ in a structured and sequential manner from the best instructors in the world.

The amazing thing about the internet is that even if you live in a country with limited access to qualified Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction, you still have the opportunity to learn from the very best Jiu-Jitsu practitioners on the planet. I hope the structured categorization of BJJ videos on BJJ International helps you to do that.

BJJ is an intense sport, where you the more you learn, the more you realise how much you still have to learn. Often referred to as human chess, it is a highly complex and evolving game that has kept me absolutely enthralled for the past 9 years.

I have always found that each BJJ coach and school brings their own particular style, passion and ideas to the sport of BJJ and I wanted to put a website together that allows us all to learn BJJ online from the many highly accomplished experts around the world and have fun at the same time. I have also found that it’s quite difficult to learn in a structured way online due to a proliferation of instruction without order. With that in mind, the focus of BJJinternational.com is to provide a tightly structured set of categories that create a format that makes the sport of Jiu-Jitsu available for everyone to learn.

BJJ videos are everywhere but it can be tedious to find the right video at the right time.

There are so many BJJ videos online already and you really don’t need my site to find them, you can just go onto Youtube and search for yourself. The trouble is that it just seems to be such a random process. The value that I’m hoping to create with this site is that by me going out and searching for great BJJ videos by highly qualified expert instructors and placing them into neat ‘chapters’, you can not only learn BJJ online but follow a structured learning program like none other. Essentially, it’s an informal ‘syllabus’ of BJJ techniques that allows for sequential learning. I also want my viewers/ readers to be able to easily identify and plug the holes in their BJJ game.

I only post videos that I feel have great techniques by highly qualified instructors and I really think these videos can help all of us to improve our games but you should never forget that you have to actually roll to improve. Due to this overiding factor, you can’t sit on Youtube or even this site all day and watch BJJ videos and expect to improve by magical osmosis. You have to actually drill the techniques and roll.

One day I hope to produce my own BJJ videos but at this point, I’m only a purple belt and still have so much to learn my self.

I really hope that you enjoy my website and that it helps you to not only learn but to grow in your personal capacity and enjoy the sport that I love.

Happy rolling,

Jonathan A
